Delhi Airport, Amritsar headed Vistara flight makes emergency landing

Due to a technical fault in the aircraft, an Amritsar-bound Vistara flight made an emergency landing at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Thursday morning. When the flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport to Amritsar took off, there were 146 passengers on board.

According to the sources, "Vistara UK-697 returned to Delhi Airport today soon after taking off from Delhi to Amritsar due to a technical snag in the aircraft. Another aircraft arranged for the departure/operations." 

The pilot spotted the snag shortly after takeoff and quickly alerted the airport authorities. At 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, a senior police official claimed they received a call about the emergency landing.

Police and fire department personnel were also pressed into service.

Six fire engines were rushed to the Indira Gandhi International Airport after getting information of the emergency landing, according to fire department officials. The plane landed safely, and "no one was hurt in the incident," according to the official.
